Information About Youth Soaring Week
YW1

If you know of a young adult who wishes a career in aviation or just wants to learn to fly, our Special Junior Summer Youth Soaring Weeks are just for them. They are scheduled for one week in July and again in August. Seven days of flying with some mountain biking, hiking, swimming, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks included. Ten lessons give your child enough flying to make you think they have grown feathers. This program is only for mature boys and girls between the ages of 14 and 18 years

These programs are run by Sugarbush Soaring. During the seven days 10 flights are include. The Sugarbush area is a wonderful summer resort for the whole family. It's a great place and a super idea for a mother and daughter or father and son vacation. Pick up and return to Burlington International Airport plus transportation to all programmed activities is included in the single fee. Students tent on the airfield in the company of our staff. The program includes tenting, ground and flight instruction as well as all meals which are well suited to young appetites.

2008 Season
YW4

Unfortunately, there will be no Youth Soaring Weeks in 2008. However, there are some alternative that may be of interest to you. Discounted instructional packages are available. Check the 2008 Rate Sheet for pricing. You and a member(s) of your famiy could come to the airport during the soaring season and learn to fly - there just would not be organized activites. Accomodations are available - camping at the airport, Inns and Lodges in the Valley, or arrangements can be made with local flying families near the airport. If you fly in from other parts of the country arrangements can be made to pick you up at the Burlington International Airport. Check with the Sugarbush Soaring Office for more details.
